We, Nepalese are changed from monarchy to republic but we are not changed from illiteracy to literacy, poor to rich and rural to urban. It is well known truth that the political stability lead towards peace and prosperity but the political stability will not sustain if the development of nation will not go according to the expectation of people. People confined in vicious circle of poverty first ask for food not for liberty. We have the recent example of our district Jagarkot where more than 350 people died just because of diarrhea. This bitter truth can’t even be imagining in this 21st century. This is just a recent example but we have lots of such cases of worst management and poverty where people are enforced to die just because of lack of very primary and preliminary medical treatment and public awareness. We can say that the country can only be in the state of political stability if and only if people have an easy access to food, health service, education, etc.
As per our experience and knowledge, people of our country are poor not only because of low income but also because of their low access to opportunities. Development cannot be disentangled from transition and security. Economic growth is not sustainable without a long lasting peace meanwhile economic instability is one of the major obstacle in the path of Democracy. In particular, peace would not be durable without an equitable development that benefits the majority of people in the society combined with income creating opportunity for the poor. Thus, development activities need to be geared towards mitigating economic hardship and reintegrating the society across ethnic, racial, religious and other divisions. Development needs to be pursued to improve conditions for peace by meeting the needs of economically marginalized groups and most importantly, benefiting the entire community not just from one specific group. The initiatives can be derived from local development projects participated by grassroots communities.
By realizing the need of institution that can address the above mentioned problems of the country to huge extent, we have established an organization naming Hamro Prabidhi Ramro Nepal(HPR-Nepal) with an ambitious theme at ambitious time as a non-governmental and non-profitable organization by emphasizing on the vary slogan “Prabidhi Hastantaran : Samaaj Ko Rupantaran”, leading towards the development and implementation of technology by focusing the needs and demand of the people that can bring the socio-economic transformation in the lives of under privileged and poor people. HPR Nepal aims to study, develop and transfer the technology to the society or simply linking the most plausible and easily absorbable technology in the society with the daily lives of rural people and can really bring far more transformation. We believe that transferring the technology to the society will not only be beneficial for the individual or community but it also contribute in the ongoing peace process, political stability and it stops the migration problem along with creating harmony in the society which then contribute for the development of nation.
