Implementation of Mondialogo Project in Dolakha
In November 2009, A team from Pulchowk Campus, IOE, Nepal and Saratov State Technical University, Russia jointly won Silver Award in Mondialogo Engineering Award 2009/2010 for the title " Information and Communication Centre Using Microwave Link in Sunkhani Nepal". Now, the project has been implemented with a stable internet link and a computer resource centre established in Kalinag Secondary School, Sunkhani, Dolakha. The school now in process of conducting a computer class for national level examination for grade 10. This ICT centre has 5-energy efficient computers that use only 25 watts and 12 other desktop computers that are fully functional in well equipped lab.
This project was developed under supervision of Alexey Morishnichenko, Vice-dean, Saratov State Technical University and active participation of 6 other students with Anastasiya Sklyankina, representing the Russian team in Germany during Project Presentation. Amrit Kharel made representation from Nepal in that function. So,this year we have had successful implementation of that project. Along with the targeted school now the other places like Hanumante School of Kabre VDC have been connected too and network is being continuously expanded. The work of creating local server with information of local agriculture, e-learning, e-health will proceed as soon as we find assisting donors to do with financial support.
